Seeking (male) Newkirk. He was a student of my acquaintance during this period. He mentioned that we were related. There is strong genealogical evidence that we are related through Leah Newkirk (1784-1868) who was married to George M. Smith (1780-1853). To complete sociological project.

Thank you for your kind feedback. Your responses have determined that the first name of the Newkirk I am seeking was incorrect but did live in Eastlake during the early '70s. So if any of you who did live in Eastlake during this period and did have a young Newkirk neighbor who did attend W-E schools, I would still need to seek him. I know that some students did move or go on to other schools. But anecdotal evidence seems to indicate that he is still in the area. Thank you.

I will keep this request posted and will keep my profile up during this "Golden Year" in case some of you are curious about me. Fred.

Update -- February 7, 2024

Some of you have asked if I'm still doing photography work. Yes. I'm currently working on a "millennium camera" (actually a 50-year camera) that will be placed in a spot near here (?). It uses a pinhole and images through the fading of oil pigment. A positive picture will result.

Next we have the homebrew 8x10 view camera That will use monochromatic X-ray film to make landscapes. This one is a tailboard and weighs 60 lbs because it has to be steady.

Finally, and most important for everyone is a namesake (?) camera that I helped develop and is being manufactured in the UK. This began in 2020 and still may be "vapor" because of the A.I. programming that is being set up. The manufacturers are saying delivery will be in March but I don't know. I had a lot of fun helping to conceptualize the design.

I think I I only recognized one face from the home page here. I did an A.I. picture of myself last year. It ages well but I think the teeth are dentures.

I do listen to Bucar's Sunday show while driving. It is not like the old polka shows but mixes in a lot of recent international stuff. Good job of keeping the faith.

The sociological project is coming along. Lots of reading. I may have to make another trip to my study site when the weather breaks.

Stay safe -- Fred.
