I raised my four daughters. I went back to school and received my associates degree in nursing in 1996. I passed my boards and started working in the operating room at Randolph Hospital in Asheboro, N.C.. My father passed away in Jan. of 1998. I also separated from my husband in 1998 and divorced in 1999. I went and received my CNOR certification in the operating room. I went back to school while working full time and graduated with my BSN in May of 2007. I started dating my current husband in 2002 and got married in St. Lucia in June of 2007. We have just about totally renovated our home. I have enjoyed all the remodeling projects. It has really been a learning experience. I am very happy with my life and am doing a lot of traveling with Ernie and I just couldn't be happier. He has and is very good to me. Oct. 24 of 2008 I was diagnosed with a brain tumor. I had a menningioma, benign, thank God. I had surgery at Duke Medical Center Nov. 4th and have recovered very well. I just have to have a follow up MRI at the end of the year. I started back to work Jan. 15th part time and the 22nd full time. I have just been busy working. I am involved with AORN (Association of Perioperative Nurses). I am on the board of directors of our chapter. When I married Ernie he has four sons and four grandchildren, so we have a lot of children between us and they keep up busy.
