Willoughby-Eastlake City Schools

As part of the Willoughby-Eastlake City Schools five year facilities plan the current Eastlake North High and Willoughby South High Schools will be replaced.  The new schools will open for the 2019-2020 school year.
Click Here to link to the Willoughby-Eastlake City Schools Website.

North High School
The new high school will be constructed behind the current North High School. As the new facility is being constructed, the current building will remain in use. The current facility is scheduled for demolition during the summer of 2019. The new North High School will house a performing arts theater, which will be shared by both North and South High School students.  The facility will be constructed of brick (matching the recently constructed football facility).

Check out the animation of the new North High School below. Below the animation are images of the site layout and exterior/interior renderings.

South High School
In phase 1 of the strategic plan, South High was completely renovated.
South High will be converted into Willoughby Middle School upon completion of the new South High School located to the north of the current building.  The new school will be in partnership with the YMCA, the City of Willoughby and the Willoughby Public Library System.  Dual
spaces will be utilized that will maximize community tax dollars and benefit the community as a whole.  The new school will house multiple dual space gyms and a competition pool to be used by both North and South High School students.  Willoughby Middle School will be demolished upon completion of the new South High School.

Check out the animation of the new South High School below. Below the animation are images of the site layout and exterior/interior renderings.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

Eastlake North High was voted this weeks Cool School on Fox 8 News!!

Our class has purchased a paver brick to be placed at the North High School Veterans Memorial, located at the base of the flag pole at Eastlake North High School.  Our class of 1974 paver brick has been layed at the memorial.  If you are in the area or home for our reunion, please stop by North to see the memorial and our brick.

I occasionally receive requests from classmates to post announcements on the web site that are of a personal nature.  I would like to honor these requests, but I am not sure the class home page is the appropriate location for these announcements.  I'm creating a new page Classmate Spotlight for this purpose.  Please click here or use the menu on the left to access this page.  To have an announcement approved for this page please continue to use the Post Announcement option on the left menu.  Thank You.
